  7. PLEASE NOTE: The Duo Battery Patch (1.0) has been reposted here with an updated
  8. description.

  10. The Duo Battery Patch (Extension) has been developed to resolve a problem
  11. discovered with some PowerBook Duo 210/230/250's, with Express Modems
  12. installed, using version 1.0 of the PowerBook Duo Enabler.
  13.  
  14. The problem is that the PowerBook Duo battery won't recharge and the Battery DA
  15. shows blank or empty.
  16.  
  17. Apple recommends that all Duo users upgrade to version 1.0 of the PowerBook Duo
  18. Enabler.  Users of 210’s, 230’s, or 250’s, with Express Modems installed,
  19. should also install the Duo Battery Patch.  Users of 270c’s do not need to
  20. install this patch.

  22. This patch is being rolled into future versions of Duo enablers.  When the next
  23. version of the PowerBook Duo Enabler is released, users can feel free to remove
  24. this patch from their system.

  26. INSTALLATION
  27.  
  28. Follow these steps to install the extension.
  29.  
  30. 1. Locate the System Folder of your startup disk. (Do not open the System
  31.    Folder.)
  32.  
  33. 2. Drag the file Duo Battery Patch on top of the System Folder.
  34.  
  35. 3. When a message appears, click OK to install the file in the Extensions
  36.    folder.

  38. 4. Restart the PowerBook Duo.
